High Protein Chicken Souvlaki Wraps

Ingredients
  

  • 400 g chicken breast diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1.5 tbsp oregano
  • 40 g low fat Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
Tzatziki
  • 160 g low fat Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • salt and pepper
  • grated cucumber
  • fresh dill
Pita
  • 130 g flour
  • 110 g low fat Greek yoghurt
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • salt
Fillings
  • red onion olives, cherry tomatoes
  • reduced fat feta
  • fresh parsley

Method
 

  1. Combine chicken with marinade ingredients and mix well. Let marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix all tzatziki ingredients and refrigerate.
  3. Combine pita ingredients to form dough. Divide, roll, and cook in a hot pan for 2 minutes per side.
  4. Cook chicken on skewers using grill, oven, air fryer, or pan until fully cooked.
  5. Spread tzatziki on pita, add chicken and toppings, then wrap tightly.

Notes

  • Drain cucumber well to avoid watery tzatziki
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan when cooking chicken
  • Adjust seasoning to taste
  • Store components separately for best freshness
