Ingredients
  

  • 680 g diced chicken breast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 4 garlic cloves diced
  • 6 lasagna sheets
  • 180 g low fat grated cheese
  • Dried basil
Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian herbs
  • 25 g parmesan
  • 100 –150ml milk

Method
 

  1. Season chicken with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and herbs.
  2. Blend all sauce ingredients until smooth.
  3. Cook chicken for 5 minutes, then set aside.
  4. Sauté onion and garlic, then add chicken back in.
  5. Stir in sauce and mix well.
  6. Layer sauce, chicken, lasagna sheets, and cheese in a baking dish.
  7. Repeat layers and finish with cheese on top.
  8. Cover and bake until cooked through.
  9. Uncover and bake again until golden.
  10. Slice into 4 portions and serve.

Notes

  • Boil regular lasagna sheets before using if not instant
  • Add more milk if sauce is too thick
  • Do not overcook chicken before baking
  • Let lasagna rest before slicing for clean cuts
