Method
- Slice chicken breast into 2 even fillets.
- Season both sides with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chilli powder, and cayenne.
- In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, chilli powder, and baking powder.
- Dip chicken into whisked egg, then coat in seasoned flour.
- Lightly spray with oil and air fry or bake until golden and cooked through.
- Mix sauce ingredients in a small bowl until smooth.
- Toast buns, spread sauce, add lettuce and chicken. Assemble and serve.
Notes
- Add more cayenne for extra heat or reduce for a milder version
- Baking powder helps create a crispier coating
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer for best results
- Swap mayo for a low-fat yogurt option if preferred
